Drama More likes to dress up as a parrot when carrying other people’s voices in their beak. More is pursuing a very serious amateur career as a guide, a witch, a ventriloquist, a magician and a talk show host for all things material. Drama produced The Drama More Show is an unsold pilot for a televised bingo investigating notions of success and happiness.
Even though they have never been seen in the same room at the same time, Drama More is a close friend of Anouchka Oler Nussbaum (1988, Saint Malo), a visual artist who lives and works in Brussels. The videos and performances of the artist are at once magic tricks, stand-up comedy and experimental philosophy. The sculptures, objects, animals and people who take part in them carry out exhilarating embodied investigations in search of ways of being in the world that are cathartic, reparatory and emancipatory.
Anouchka Oler Nussbaum grew up in a succession of houses under construction. The artist obtained an MFA from the Piet Zwart Institute (Rotterdam) in 2012 and took part in the post-graduate programme of ENSBA Lyon in 2015. In 2018, Oler Nussbaum undertook a master's degree in gender studies at UCLouvain to conduct a research on the Red Dykes, a french political lesbian group. Anouchka lives and works in Brussels where they co-founded feeelings with gladys gérenton in 2017, an artist-run-space working with economic and affective concerns. Anouchka has presented and developed works in exhibitions, collective events and residencies with Kantine (BE), Kunstenfestivaldesarts (BE), M HKA (BE), Le 19 CRAC (FR), Mophradat (BE), Kaaitheater (BE), La Tôlerie (FR), Galerie (INT), Triangle France (FR), Aware : Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions (FR), CNAP (FR), Entreprise Projects (GR), frac île-de-france - le plateau (FR), Cooper Gallery (UK), La Ferme du Buisson (FR) MOTINTERNATIONAL (BE), De Appel (NL), MAC VAL (FR) and Setu (FR).
